The Bible has God creating "the beasts of the field" before he got around to making Adam. Evolutionary science has dinosaurs evolving and becoming extinct before the rise of mammals and then humans. So, regardless of your belief system, Adam and humans didn't come first.
After that, it's really a matter of evolutionary theory over creation theory.
At present the evidence would appear to support evolutionary theory.
Many theologians suggest that Genesis should be regarded more as a metaphor rather than an exact description of what occurred.

Honey , the Bible clearly states that God created the animals long before He created man and woman. See Genesis Chapter 1, verses 20 through 28. The creation days may not have been literal 24 hour days, and dinosaurs and the like were likely on the earth during it's beginnings. Mankind was created later.

It appears that dinosaurs walked on the earth before mortals. Remember, God created man in His image. There is only confusion when one attempts ot mix this spiritual truth with a mortal, material seeming reality. Then you even hear of some believing that dinosaurs were not real.

I personally believe, dinosaurs were already around when man was made. The animals were then made after man and the dinosaurs made to die out.

Science is based on hypotheses. I believe God's account in the Bible.
Science is advancing everyday, and has made REMARKABLE progress and discoveries! but the facet of scientists that are God rejecting will never fully understand our universe until they recognize the Creator of the universe and stop trying to discount Him.

I'd go by the bible. It takes just as much faith to "believe" in evolution as it does to believe in creation.
I mean... who was around to "prove" that dino's were around BEFORE people? You know that they have found human footprints fossilized inside dino prints? Therefore, they co-existed.
