Looking for a cream with no menthol as my daughter is either allergic to menthol or her skin is just too sensitive to handle it. Is there even a cream out there that works that doesn't contain menthol? Everyone I have ever used that actually helps contains it so. Thanks in advance for any good suggestions!

Aspercreme doesn't work, tried it and nothing so. It was the only one i knew of that didn't contain menthol.

Traumeel is amazing. It comes in a gel, ointment (messy), or cream. It is an all-natural herbal combo that works as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic (numbing like A535). It has no odour and it WORKS. I am a registered massage therapist and use it on my clients and myself. I'd recommend it to anyone, provided you are not allergic to any of the ingredients. It is menthol free! The only problem is that it is more costly than the menthol brands, but I think it's worth it. I find it at the local health food store.

try giving her some aleve or tylenol arthritis that might help use an ice/cold pack for 15 minutes at a time or you could use a heating pad......you have to be careful with some of the non-menthol creams because they usually contain aspirin which absorbs through the skin and kids shouldn't use actual aspirin because of reye's syndrome but if I can find the link im thinking of I will get back to ya....ok found it I actually have this book and alot of the stuff in it is pretty useful so I hope it helps you out...Happy New Year

HELLO THERE, TIM S.
the best one i have come across is called: BAYER MUSCLE AND JOINT CREAM...it is not greasy and it definately relieves the pain that you are trying to ease.....and i checked out the ingredients and did not see menthol as one of them. my husband swears by this rub and has never had better luck with any of the other muscle rubs.......also there is a presciption patch called :
LIDODERM which is a lidocaine 5% patch. that was prescribed for me by my doctor made by ENDO pharmaceuticals.......i swear to God this is a miracle drug...it is to be applied for 12 hours on and 12 hours off. and in my opinion it is the best topical pain reliever on the market..i mean the very best!!!!
i hope this has been very helpful to you....and good luck and God bless.

Capsazin. Has capsicum, not menthol. Capsicum is what is in pepper spray, although the back cream is not as concentrated as pepper spray. Sure does burn pretty good after a hot bath.
