They can damage your bowel, makin it lazy which means that if you use them for a for too long a time... you could suffer from constipation a lot if you stop using them - LOVELY!

Eat lots of fruit instead or shreddies - natural laxatives!

They can really hurt you. Your body can get almost addicted to them and you will not be able to go at all without them. According to a site I found here are other problems with laxatives: water and salt imbalance causing disturbed function of heart, kidney and brain, The glands in the face and on the neck can swell up, bleeding of the stomach, laxatives and diuretics can lead to serious water and salt imbalance, laxatives damage the bowel resulting in severe constipation and reduced function, diuretics can cause dehydration and salt imbalance and damage the function of the kidneys and the circulation. YUCK
What I would suggest is to try doing this same thing a little more naturally.
Omega 3 Fish Oil Supplement is good for you because you should have Omega 3 in your diet that is why they are always saying that we should be eating more fish.
Here are some other good things it does: "beneficial in a range of conditions including relief of minor skin conditions, eczema and in the temporary relief of arthritic pain. Can prevent blocked arteries (arteriosclerosis), thereby helping to prevent heart attacks and it might help prevent cancer and depression"
Gastrointestinal upset is common with the use of fish oil supplements, occurring in up to 5 percent of patients in clinical trials. So it acts like a natural laxative. Side effects can be minimized if fish oils are taken with meals and if doses are started low and gradually increased.
Since you have been taking laxatives so often, I would start taking one low gram pill form fish oil once per day. Most people should start with taking one every week and up the dose until you starting having laxative issues. I can't remember the max you can take but I think it is like 3 times daily depending on the dose of the supplement.
I take just one of the pill form on Tuesday and Friday's.
I did find a research study that suggests an intake of 3-10 grams is beneficial.
The only thing I would warn is about taking more than prescribed on bottle since high intakes of omega-3 supplements or mixed fish oil supplements may reduce blood-clotting ability so much as to encourage bleeding or, in extreme instances, lead to hemorrhages. Also make sure you take Vitamin E at the same time since it can deplete that vitamin.
- Hope this helped.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

Yes they can cause electrolyte imbalance which could land you in the hospital and they also can mess up your bowels really bad by causing you to be dependent on them. Once you quit using them you may not be able to have a bowel movement on your own. Stop now before you do some permanent damage.

You are going to make your bowels "lazy", and then you are going to HAVE to use laxatives to have any bowel movements. If you want to loose weight, go on a diet. Laxatives are a temporary fix.
