At my job they make me take the capacitor's out of microwaves so they are able to be recycled. Is it possible to get radiation poisoning???

No it isn't possible - but if you are worried - I guess you could wear protective clothing. You can talk to your supervisor too.

Very unlikely to get radiation poisoning, however I do suggest wearing specialized gloves while handling the capacitors. Ask your boss what materials are in the caps and then come back here and ask us if those materials are hazardous. In the meantime, dont lick them, eat them, or rub them on any open wounds ;).

No chance, microwaves use high-frequency sound waves and they emit these waves only when connected to the current and 'on'.
