I heard that brushing your hair when wet gives you split ends but...?

Question

my hair is really curly and there is no way to style it once it is dry.
also if I brush it dry I look like a poodle!! What do I do to reduce my split ends?

I have extremely curly hair, so I feel your pain. I have found that brushing it dry before I shower and combing it after is the best way to keep it healthy. This will keep the split ends down, because YES brushing wet curly hair will give you split ends.

what kind of shampoo do you use ? if you don't already use it i would look at like ulta or some hair product store ( like maybe a salon) and buy some stuff that reduces the friz in your hair and if you don't like your curls then i would buy some stuff that reduces the curls and the friz. About the whole split ends thing i would ....... not brush your hair if you are gonna scrunch your hair. But brushing your hair does not give you split ends so if you aren't gonna scrunch your hair then feel free to brush you hair when its wet. Then if you are using some good shampoo that helps reduce the friz and the curls then it will reduce the curls and it won't be as frizzy so then you won't look like a poodle :)

My hair si curly also.. so I style it like this.. when is wet and put some leave in conditioner to separate the curls, brush it.. then I use gel to define the curls because I love them... and I dont have split ends.

Put some kind of styling gel on it while it is still wet, instead of brushing. My sister does that to her naturally curly hair, and it is beautiful!

2. make sure it thickens your hair and prevents split ends too.
3. get a flar iron and staighten your hair

thats why you use a wide toothed comb. it reduces split ends so yea dont worry bout it, besides if you go the hair dressers every six weeks like what they recomend (or somthing like that) you dont have ta worry bout them pesky ends :]

Comb your hair wet with a wide tooth comb to detangle it and then blow dry it. The you can straighten it.
