We don't have a system of belief.
Might as well ask what kind of back bone invertebrates have.

Atheism teaches that there is no God of any kind, anywhere, anytime. Some atheists claim to "exercise no belief in a god" the same way they would exercise no belief in pink unicorns. Logically, an atheist would be an evolutionist.
The Bible teaches that all men know there is a God (Rom. 2:14-15). Therefore, they will be without excuse (Rom. 1:20 ) on the Day of Judgment. Instead, atheists willingly suppress the knowledge of God by their unrighteousness (Rom. 1:18-19).

"Please do not respond if you're a part of a religion. You wouldn't know." It was a nice thought, but it's not going to stop the : "They are tricked by Satan" comments.
Personally, I consider myself a Secular Humanist as well as being an Atheist. I don't believe in gods. I do accept Evolution as fact. I have no idea how life first started. I do believe in compassion and doing charitable deeds because it feels good and makes others feel good.

I know
I reject blind faith or "belief" in the same context christians use it for the tennet of thier religion
I use experience and facts as my grounding point, removing the need for belief
but,
like the mythological Tower of Babel that was destroyed by the mysterious "Us" I BELIEVE using common sense and facts or a known past that I have, that in the future Humanity can achieve things together....
I do not believe in things proven to be storyies and myths
I will say that we as a current generation need to reinvent our own science fiction or mythology or SOMETHING to hope in and inspire us to greatness

Atheists aren't defined by what they believe. They are defined by their refutation of the existence or worship of a Supreme Being, Deity, God, etc.
My understanding is that many people who are Atheist believe that Religion causes suffering. I agree with them. Look into your heart. Ask yourself what you know about the greatest sources of suffering, of orphaned children, of violent death, of pestilence and plague, and genocide, and of general misery on this Earth.
Ask yourself that question, and if you don't see Religion, and the worship of "God" (by whatever name you call it) at the root of those things, then you are Lost.

Atheist" redirects here. For the band, see Atheist (band).
The 18th-century French author Baron d'Holbach was one of the first self-described atheists.Atheism is the disbelief[1] in the existence of any deities.[2] It is commonly defined as the denial of theism, amounting to the positive assertion that deities do not exist, or as the deliberate rejection of theism.[3][4][5] However, others—including most atheistic philosophers and groups—define atheism as the simple absence of belief in deities[6][7][8] (cf. nontheism), thereby designating many agnostics, and people who have never heard of gods, such as newborn children, as atheists as well.[9][10] In recent years, some atheists have adopted the terms strong and weak atheism to clarify whether they consider their stance one of positive belief (strong atheism) or the mere absence of belief (weak atheism).[11][12][13]
Many self-described atheists share common skeptical concerns regarding supernatural claims, citing a lack of empirical evidence for the existence of deities. Other rationales for atheism range from the philosophical to the social to the historical. Additionally, although atheists tend toward secular philosophies such as humanism, naturalism, and materialism, there is no one ideology or set of behaviors that all atheists adhere to.[14][15]
Although atheists are almost invariably assumed to be irreligious or non-spiritual in Western culture,[16] this does not necessarily hold true for all atheists. Some religious and spiritual beliefs, such as several forms of Buddhism, have been described by outside observers as conforming to the broader, negative definition of atheism due to their lack of any participating deities.[17][18] Atheism is also sometimes equated with antitheism (opposition to theism) or antireligion (opposition to religion), despite most atheists not holding such views

Atheists believe that there is no higher power at all. I'm an agnostic, which believes that there is no proof either way to make a decision. Also, agnostic's are more open to listening to what others believe and generally don't tell others that what they belive is wrong, because there is no proof either way.

Atheists can believe in no gods, many gods or just believe in morals and truths. Some believe in proofs and evidence. We believe in lots of things and there's nothing wrong with any of it.

De facto atheists believe that in all probability based on science logic and reason that there is no God and they live their lives on the assumption that there is no God (However they do not profess that they can prove that there is no God).

Lots of other things that aren't related to any gods.
Theists live in a very black-and-white dichotomous worldview... it's either their beliefs or no beliefs. It's a silly perpetuation.
