I think you'd have a better chance if you stayed healthy

My husband's great-grandmother is 102 and she eats "junk food" in very small amounts. For example "pigging-out" to her is like 3 cookies. She does love McD hamburgers and has one once-in-a-while (maybe every other month). I guess I would say that it's possible, but not probable. I really think that people who live past 100 have really good genetics.

It depends on what you mean by that. If a person ate an otherwise balanced and healthy diet and ate some "junk" food but managed to maintain a sensible calorie intake, exercised and otherwise cared for themselves, it wouldn't make much difference. My own grandfather drank 3 small sodas every day for many, many years but ate well otherwise and made it to 97 in relatively good shape.

If by "our share" you mean pigging out any time and in any quantity, it's pretty doubtful.

Of course...everybodys different. I've got a customer, calls me a few times a week for me to pick him up a six pack of Schaefer and a Small Cheese and Pepperoni Pizza and 4 packs of Pall Mall (non-filter cigarettes). Reminder, this is a FEW times every week!! He will celebrate his 102 birthday in february. He is DEFINATELY the EXCEPTION!!!! Not the rule, but he is definately a funny man. You'd just have to meet him.

I once saw an interview with a man that was 107. He said he only got four hours of sleep a night, smoked his entire life and drank coffee everyday. I think it is all in the genetics.
