My husband just did this. Go to the recruiter and they can get you back in. My husband kept his same mos, rank and time of service. You will still have to go to meps and get you physical but no basic again and depending on your mos no going back to that school for training. You will have the option of changing mos if wanted. Good Luck

The Army recruiter can take a former Army soldier and bring he/she back in, usually without a loss of rank. You will not have to retake the ASVAB, but you will have to take the physical. The answer above about the Armory is incorrect, that will only put you into a Reserve or National Guard component.

If you were in another branch, you will know before you have to enlist if you are going to lose rank.

Just go see a recruiter. Unless you are senior in rank you shouldn't have a problem getting back on active duty.

Yes you can. Go down to your local armory and request to file paperwork to go active duty.
