Which God are you talking about...

You have assumed your belief is correct...
Yet you haven't expressed which god your speaking about.
so yet again we find ourselves in conflict.

Umm not really, it's actually the other way around. See if I believe in god and I am wrong, I will have wasted a lot of time repeating "oh mighty being of higher existence you are so great and I love you blah blah blah I want this and this and I shall be good because you command it" when I can simply think (and spend a lot less time on it) "I should do this nice thing because it will make other people happy and that makes me feel happy" without the repetitive "you're so great and eternal and mighty" stuff. Also, I can learn about (and not ignorantly refuse to believe in some religious cases) science which is really interesting and actually explains things more than "some...god thing made it happen don't ask any more questions." Honestly, I think "god" is too busy to really care if I don't really believe in him/her/them.

And now I have a question for you, which god are you talking about? Because if you think your god is the only one, won't you lose a lot if you're wrong and it's really another god that's the right one? Hmmm? Do you honestly think that a god who is supposed to be so mighty and important will really care about punishing a few people for not believing what some many-thousand year old texts supposedly said they did when there's enough bad stuff going on in this world? Nothing bad has happened yet as far as I'm concerned, so really, if I end up being wrong, I will actually have made the better choice, because I will have decided to trust my own judgment rather than what billions of people are trying to preach to me about how their god is the right one, and rather than choosing what sounded the best I decided to look at the real world and not be scared about needing to have good morals in order to please some higher being.

I'm really f*cking sick of 2 things right now.
First, it's everyone capitalizing "ATHEISTS". It's childish and these ********* need to cut it out.

Second, it's rehashings of Pascal's Wager.

What kind of person would eternally torment an honest doubter? If their god is so unjust, then THEISTS are in as much danger as atheists. Perhaps god will get a perverted thrill from changing his mind and damning everyone, believers and unbelievers alike.
Belief in a deity based on fear is not a belief that produces admiration. Such a being doesn't deserve worship.

I'm not an atheist but I do not believe it matters whether one believes in the existence of God or not. It cannot, or has it ever been proven that God communicated with man, as the only alleged conversations with God or angels are hearsay, found in flawed man-made books. How about people born without adequate mental abilities or those who live among people who've never heard of God? Your premise is faulty.

we should be called Aliens not Atheists

considdered everything ,in the end only the truth is good enough.and after many years of arguing reading ,listening seeing ,etc have come to the conclusion that religions were all inventions to divide humanity into smaller controllable groups that could be set against each other.so that money could be made on the wars .
this was basic illuminati strategy of Divide and Rule
all organized religion came from babylon from the same council from the same people ,and

these people (the illuminati )were descendents of the Anunaki, who created the Adams race (not just one symbolic man and women) as slaves to mine gold for them.

they were not gods but were extraterestrials ,the reptilian brain in our heads is a left over of their cloning and genetic engineering.
the Neanderthaler, cromagnum, homo erectus were earlier experiments ,they all lived at the same time in the same place ,near the oldest gold mines in the world Zimbabwe ,which means deep deposit .

references to the Anunaki can be found in all ancient civilizations ,and the dragons and serpants are symbolic representations of them.In Africa,Europe,Asia,India ,Central America ,all have the serpants or dragons and all talk about Anunaki those who descended from the heavens ,and all were into mining gold ,
millions of tons of gold must have been mined in the life time of humanoid life on earth ,but where is the gold now ???only a few hundred tons can be located or accounted for on the whole planet,

religious people(of all organized religions) will be confused forever because most of their faith is based on lies ,that were invented to manipulate them
.
the Bible ,Quoran are brainwashing tools that include keys to prevent the believers from believing alternative truths ,when one talks about Aliens their reaction is violently negative ,but they cant explain why

and all the time we are the product of Alien intervention ourselves

Pascal's wager:

"If god exists, it's infinitely better to believe, since you get heaven instead of hell for eternity. If he doesn't, it doesn't matter since you're dead anyway. So overall it's better to believe"

This is, of course, false.

Some of the problems with the argument:

* The implied assumption that god may exist (with a 50% probability, no less!)

* The assumption that there is an afterlife with a heaven and hell

* The assumption that the god cares about belief in him/her above all else

* The assumption that if you believe in a god, it will definitely be the same god that actually exists.

* The assumption that you lose nothing if it's false. You have lost a great deal, from time praying to a nonexistent entity (somebody mentioned just today praying several hours a day!!!) to morality (your god may ask you to hurt other people) and much more besides.

* The assumption that people can believe in something simply because it benefits them. Would you believe goblins exist for twenty bucks? Why not?

* The assumption that any god won't see through the "believing just to get into heaven" ploy.

This is a horrible logical fallacy. Your unstated premise is that God, if there is one, is so petty and unjust as to punish his creations for all eternity for the simple act of being unwilling to believe in such a petty and unjust god. You're give only one choice. A) there is no God, and B) there is a God, but he is the petty & unjust God described in the Old Testament. In fact, there are many, many more possibilities, and most of them are more believable to me.

lose nothing?¿ TO MANY PEOPLE ARE KILLED FOR THIER IGNORANT/ARROGANT BELIEFS IN GOD. You LOSE EVERYTHING IN THESE BELIEFS
You lose the ability to understand the world as it is so that our children will have a better earth to live on. If I believe in God, I will think I have no power to control global warming that it is all up to god, I will not be able to use this computer cause that was not in the bible. That it is gods will that my child dies from small pox. there is all so much to lose in believing in god. next time your car tire is low on air just believe god will air it up for you.

Actually you do lose, you lose your self worth and dignity. Not to mention you've wasted your one chance of life. Also, you failed to take into consideration that what if you're following the wrong god? What if you die and find out that Odin is really the one in charge? What would you do then?

This the way we Christians think. Atheists do not want to worship God they do not believe in, so they would lose some time at least. They do not believe in heaven, so they are not scared of hell.

I have answered this question multiple times and in multiple ways. And it all boils down to this: Atheists don't believe in God because we don't believe God exists.. And we don't PRETEND to believe because we are not hypocrites Shouldn't you believe in the Frisbee God so you don't spend eternity suck on the roof!
