Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the end of this system of things is at hand. We believe that God's holy war, Armageddon, will be used by God to clear the earth of evil, just as God used the flood to do just that in Noah's day. When exactly, no one knows except Jehovah God, the Bible says.
And as for is this positive or negative thinking, I personally think this is positive. I believe with all my heart that Armageddon will usher in a New World Order, governed by Jesus from the heavens... and I look forward to the perfection of it. It can't happen until this system ends, though. So yes... I think that it's a good thing! :)

I'm a Christian and I believe the End Times are coming.
And no one knows when. It could be tomorrow, in a year, or another 50 years. No man knows. But many of the signs have been occuring, and many current day prophets repeatedly predict when these things will happen, and they end up being right.
Many people are afraid of this. Many don't like reading the book of Revelations because it scares them. Personally, I love it, and I have no fear. Jesus will return, and that's the greatest news ever.

I don't know of anyone except a few kooks that try to say the day and hour of His return.
But I do know many pastors that believe they are going to see the return of Christ in their lifetime.
I am only one of them.
