The Azo is a good start. Stay away from caffiene! Also, drink cranberry juice for a day or two. If that doesn't work, a trip to the doc is in order.

Feel Better! ;)

The only safe way is with antibiotics. AZO is a cranberry pill taken to help prevent UTI. It isn't medicine and will not treat an infection. Don't bother taking it, Alka-Seltzer or drinking cranberry juice. An untreated UTI can lead to worse things. Go to a free clinic or the health dept. and be diagnosed. You didn't get this infection today. Until you are seen for this, increase your water intake to 3 liters (quarts) a day.

FYI: If there is a website where you can buy prescription meds without a prescription, stay away from it! You have no idea what to take, what the dosage should be, the frequency or the duration. This is stupid and potentially harmful advice. Ignore it!

Drink a lot of water and cranberry juice. If you have an infection you need to go to the doctor or emergency room. Nothing but an antibiotic will make it go away, and if you don't you may start running a fever and freezing. And you will feel terrible all over. I know it hurts like hell. Some hospitals have a special program for people without insurance.

Trimpex, Bactrim, Septra, Cotrim, Trimox, or Ampicillin, etc. Can be cured in 1 or 2 days, but doctors recommend taking your prescribed antibiotics for at least a week.

You need to go see a doc and get your urine tested to find out what bug is causing your UTI so the doc can put you on the right antibiotic for it.

Is there a community health center in your area? They usually are free or charge a pro-rated fee based on your income. You need an antibiotic or it could just get worse.

Good luck!

Most UTI's are caused by ecoli. You must see a physician in order to get an antibiotic.

However, I think there maybe websites where you can buy pharmaceuticals without a prescription.
