Ok I'm 16 years old and 5'6". Before last summer i weighed 117 and was fine with myself. Then i went on vacation for two weeks and gained 10 lbs. When i got home i freaked out and was determined to lose all the weight i gained. i did but still wanted to lose more weight. Now at 106 pounds i find myself not eating much in order to keep my weight off and if i gain any weight at all, i get upset. i'm worried it will only get worse but i feel like if i eat more i will gain weight again. I want to talk to someone about it but i feel judged. Do you think 106 at 5'6" is too skinny?

Yes honey it is way to skinny. Please check out this link. Please please look into counsling for anorexia. This is serious and should not be dismissed. it is definately on the skinnier side. Just exercise and follow what your stomach says in terms of what to eat. Eat three meals a day and stay moderately active. dont worry about gaining weight. I used to weigh around 117 before I went through the same thing you went through (only I dropped to 88lbs-not good)Just be comfortable with yourself. between 105 and 125 is a normal weight for girls our height. You need to go see a school counselor or someone who can talk to you about this problem. If you don't do something now, then it can spiral out of control. It will be hard at first talking to someone about it, but once you break that first barrier, then it will get better and the person will be able to help you.

You are underweight right now and should not worry about being overweight. There is such a thing as being too skinny and you are close to being one. Get help to keep this from getting any worse.

106 is veryyyyyyyy skinny for 5'6 i think you should seek help.maybe goto a nutritionist

yes....you should be 120-130....when you were at 127 u were probably perfect
