I was watching the Simpsons, American Dad, and Family Guy and it has just dawned on my that they all have the exact same extreme left, liberal, humanist, atheist character that acts as the voice of reason on each of the shows and the authors voice. In the case of hte Simpsons its Lisa Simpson, in American Dad its the hippie daughter, and Family Guy with Brian the dog. I love freedom of speech and believe that anyone and group is open to getting slammed, but when you get one viewpoint preached to you in three different TV shows every week that just seems a bit too organized . It reminds me of some communist country might pimp its ideals through its media.

the voice of reason vs the idiotic claims of religious nuts kept them going and searching for the truth, what was out there, life like a great never ending journey

Oh my god, like conservatism, conventionalism, and Christianity isn't being preached everywhere you look in the U.S.! It still says "In God We Trust" on money. The president always makes religious references, people still look at women funny if they aren't married with children by age 30, men still try and give me weight lifting advice at the gym as if I'm a novice (when I likely know what I'm doing more than them). Do you have any idea how I would be talked about at work by some people if I told them I didn't believe the whole Jesus thing? And there are plenty of people at my work who have the same agnostic beliefs as me, we just can't talk about it, because you never know who's going to overhear and think we are the devil or some crazy as* shi* like that.

Maybe that's what they meant by 'Fair and Balanced'?

I got an idea. Maybe we should have a system in place, so if it's not getting good ratings, things that are viewed as too extremist or unpopular, they get rooted out because they're unprofitable.

and its not like its a real diverse sample of media here....
I mean wow. 3 American, Mature(ish) cartoons, 2 of which by the same general people, happen to have certain general themes? gosh! stop the presses!

In the future I will point to this question as evidence that some Christians are so naive of the world it's laughable.
And calling liberals and humanists extremists is just... precious. Not to mention stating that a voice of reason on a satire show is a problem. Nothing like good ole' religion to crush reason and logic.
This is why the atheists on this site claim that religion leads to stupidity.

Yea I have been noticing the same thing. It is a good thing all these left wing idiots like murdering babies other wise they might be able to brainwash me too. For me there is just no way to take seriously anything someone who advocates baby murder says. I think the American Dad episode went pretty easy on Bush today, by the way.

We can't get away from it.
Just before the elections there was a big deal about the republicans in congress hiding wrong-doing.
After the elections, the committee announced that after a thorough investigation, there was no wrong-doing.

,Hollywood ,the Media ,tv and radio stations are all owned by the same people,
you cannot expect anything else that they will use all of their power to brainwash the masses,to their own advantage and for their own twisted motives
