Hi, my friend is from a foreign country, he has been here 10 years. his visa has expired, and he doesn have a greencard. Is there ayway he can attend college? Will he be eligeable for financial aid or even a loan from a bank to pay the tuition?

It depends on the college, but no state college would take him. Private colleges might, but he would receive no financial aid. He should apply for a new visa.

This is most definitely the WORST place you could ask a question like this. If he's not an American citizen, he really doesn't have any rights in this country except to leave - that includes NO FREE SCHOOLING. Why? 'cause financial aid is for true American citizens who have the right to an education our own country. If he wants to go to school, become a legal citizen and then go from there. You're showing your true colors of patriotism by supporting illegals raping this country.

If your friend wants American priveledges, why doesn't he/she apply for citizenship and become an American? Until then, it's your duty as an American citizen to notify the I.N.S. of his/her location and have him/her deported.

the best way for him to find out is to go down to the i.n.s. and ask them they will be able to tell him.
