I purchased off of ebay about 4 months ago a slightly used vivitar vivicam 3935 digital camera retail 300 dollars on amazon.com and target.
Sadly after a short time of using it the flash works but then stops working. In the menu flash is on and nothing happens it takes the picture with no flash.
Unfortunately for me i purchased it used so i have no way to get the camera serviced by the company of vivitar.
Also i tried calling camera shops in my area and they dont repair vivitar cameras.
any ideas on what i can do?
i am pretty sure its the circuitry inside the camera such as the flash bulb could be burnt out already.
I am using brand new crv3 battery too which are pricey.
i dont want to throw in the towel on this nice camera just yet
any suggestions welcome.

You can contact Vivitar Technical Support at

http://vivitar.com/contactus.asp

Perhaps they can give you an idea. They also can suggest a repair facility.

But if they cannot fix it for free or a reasonable price, you may be better off putting the money towards a better camera. (Sorry, but Vivitar doesn't have the best reputation.)

Stick with the lower priced models from the big name manufacturers. You can find lots of cameras under $200.

Good Luck

sell it and get a better camera. NOT VIVITAR. wow, how could a 5mp vivitar go for $300?

sell it, and invest in a canon.
