I think it is part of my personality. If I change it, I won't be me.

Its not that matter of changing who you are inside, its a matter of changing your look on life, and how you approach things. Just taking the time and contemplating on trying to find yourself, and who you are, and where you want to go can be enough to spark a changes inside of you, to finally find things that you thought werent there. Just try, it wont hurt, and im pretty sure they just dont go around calling people drama queens for nothing, and im pretty sure drama queens can become just "queen"

A drama queen is someone who reacts with great drama (too much expression and emotion) to things that do not warrant it. You can control it, at least. Saying it is part of your personality and changing it would make you "not me" is what we used to call a "cop-out". That means you are using it as an excuse not to do something you don't want to do. Nobody is BORN to be a drama queen. It isn't like the color of your eyes. Your personality is changing in subtle ways all the time. If this trait is a problem for you, you should try to tone it down. Ask your friends for some positive suggestions.

A "drama queen" is a person given to often excessively emotional performances or reactions. An overly emotional person.

If this is actually an accurate description of you, yes, it can be changed.

Drama Queen means you make a big issue out of everything and most of it is unimportant. Not only do you do that but you drag everyone you know into to, tell them about it, yak to everyone about it, and most times all of it could have been avoided if you'd kept your mouth shut. You take little issues and make them big ones, big ones and make them huge, and alot of times it doesn't even involve you.

You can change be staying out of other people's business, keeping your business to yourself, and don't sweat the small stuff.

I'm guessing you're fairly young (still in highschool) and just now becomming exposed to thing you never experienced before. My best advice is MYOB!!! Mind Your Own Business!!!

A drama queen, I believe is a person who makes a big fuss over what other people would regard as a trivial matter. It's really down to how you are and how you handle things, if you're young, you may grow out of it over time.

Then don't change it.

We're often told that it is important to "be yourself," yet most people wear a mask--and even more so while dating.

Sometimes, the price for being yourself and completely honest is to be misunderstood, rejected and even hated. Very few people I know can take it, so they wear their protective mask and pretend to be another "persona."

I refuse to. It is more painful to pretend to be someone else than to live alone, rejected and disliked. If that's who you are, be yourself. A "drama queen" is, to some people, anyone who expresses an emotion contrary to their own. You have the right to do so.

It is not your personality. Stop surrounding yourself around drama filled situations. Stay out of other people's business. And...don't react like a drama queen, try to put things in perspective!

It's typically very unappealing to many and yes you can change it if you want..."any person who overreacts to a minor problem or situation"

I don't keep them in my life (male or female)...drama is for the theater, not for friendships or relationships...drama queens are simply attention seekers, but not in a fun way...
