Go for a meal to the Berkley Restaurant - part of the hotel- a very elegant and reasonably price- ask for "Crepes Suzette", you won't be disappointed.
Visit Buchard Garden and take a lot of picture.
Check out the jewellery shops - and buy native Indian hand-crafted jewellery.
Enjoy fresh shellfish.
Go whale watching - if it's available
Take a tour-bus and visit different areas of the Victoria, especially the famous "Upland"
Have afternoon tea at the Fairmont Empress Hotel
See some fat seals in the harbour.

As always, it depends on how long you want to be here for and how much you're willing to spend.

One of the favourites among visitors is a double decker tour. Some favourites are the Butchart Gardens and a city tour. The Dallas Road waterfront and the breakwater are always a fun way to spend a sunny afternoon.

The inner harbour (where the Empress Hotel and the Legislature are located) is always filled with entertainers, which varies day to day, but everybody offers unique things to enjoy. Government Street (leading from the inner harbour) has great shops with a wide variety of goods, from Chocolate to Tea and Coffee, to Clothes, etc.

The Mill Bay ferry provides a scenic view between Brentwood Bay and Mill Bay. MIl Bay has a few shops that you can enjoy, but it is a must for visitors as the scenery is beautiful.

Of course, one of the best things about visiting Vancouver Island is getting here.. The boat ride has spectacular views. There are many things you can do in Victoria which doin't cost a whole lot of money (like the Empress hotel does - go in for tea, come out broke)

Check with tourism Victoria, your hotel and just ask other locals as everybody has different ideas of what is fun. In the inner harbour alone, you can take a harbour ferry which provides tours of the inner harbour and the Gorge waterway, whale watching, the entertainers which I mentioned earlier. Anyways, you get the idea.

Hope it helps and if you need any more info, feel free to contact me....

It depends on how much time you have. If you want to drive a bit you can go to the Butchart Gardens. I hear it's beautiful. You can see Craigdorrach Castle, the Royal British Columbia Muesum, there is Emily Carr's house. There is the Parliment building and I heard you can tea at the Empress hotel. There is a bus tour or horse drawn carriage tour of the city that will take you around the town. There is a wax museum as well. There is whale watching as well but I am not sure what the season is for that.

Depends how much time you're going to be there for. Butchart gardens is a stunning flower and vegetation garden. Whale watching is possible depending on the time of year. There are tons of historical buildings; you can do Engish tea at the Fairmont Empress hotel; a great experience.

If you will have a car and are there for more than a day or two it might be worth it to drive out to the pacific coast towns of Tofino and Uclulet; beautiful coastline, you can spend time on the 5 mile beach, go hiking through rainforest and do some amazing sea kayaking and/or whale-watching. There are so many other places to see and experience on Vancouver Island.
Enjoy your trip!

I hope you are going to be there in the summer. Awesome sunny weather. Almost everything is within walking distance. Museums, shopping, restautants. Downtown Victoria is gorgeous with the beautiful hanging baskets in the summer. There is Butchart Gardens, Ellison House, Royal Roads University where X-Men movies were filmed, Abkhazi Gardens,. There is whale watching, kayaking, walking trails, miles of ocean side walking trails, golfing etc., etc., etc. Visit. You'll love it!!!
