If you are looking for movie theaters and or shopping centers and good food near Union Station I would suggest going over to the financial district near 6th and Flower. There you can find multi-plex theaters in the Sheraton hotel, food and shops in Arco plaza, the Bonaventure and many surounding retail buildings. To get there just ride the Red Line Subway from under Union Station it is only about a 5 minute ride and get off at the Metro Center Station. The DASH shuttle bus system also provides a link between these areas.

where are going? I advise you highly to AVOID GREYHOUND AT ALL COST well unless would love to be on a VERY CROWDED bus where you have stand for hours on end or have the restroom toilet overflow and have sewage all over the bus floor, or get stranded at a greyhound station since regular run bus was too full and no second sections comes though or have the bus break down on the freeway, or have the bus catch fire.. (all these have happen), or be told do not use your cell phone or you will be put off the bus? plus currently the union for the bus operators have AUTHROIZED A STRIKE now do YOU STILL WANT TO TAKE GREYHOUND?

like a movie theater? none really close-at least walking distance, mostly nudie theaters nearby (kind of a bad area). As far as shopping, theres Overa Street which is a quaint mexican village/tourist trap and a few blocks away is China town, plenty of shopping there.
