My dog, of whom I am his legal guardian, Bowser Farnsworth III, plans on having his birthday bash next month. Brittany Spears and Hank Williams, Jr. have been hired to perform at the party. We have the caterer hired, but Bowser wants to have alcohol at this party. All of the canine invitees are above 3 years old, so this equates to 21 in dog years. Is this legal for these doggies to imbibe? Bowser wants to get toasted, and wants his friends to enjoy some good wine and congac, but does not want to break any state or federal laws. When addressing this issue, do we go by strict dog years, or multiply by 7 and call the 3 year old dogs 21?

Well bowser, seems to me to be a pretty mature dog, as im guessing he has planned his own party. I know i occasionally had the opdd beer when i was 3 so i dont see the problem. My only farce with this question is why he has chosen brittany spears to perform at his party, unless ofcourse he wants to attack her after or even during her show. But if you dog wants to drink and has openly told you this himself, then i say let him. I mean if you say no, hes just going to go out with his friends anyway and do it behind your back. Have a good party.

Yes. That sounds just fine, sir. Just watch out for those bad kids, showing up with horse tranquilizers and such.

Anyway, If your dog is 21 and not able to act as his own power of attorney, Bowser must be mentally challenged. And, probably some of his friends too, since some of them must have guardians as well; Hence your concern. Are you sure you should be giving special kids alcohol?

You want proof a dog is smarter than man? Here it is!

If your dog likes/steals drinks pour him alcohol till he's had his fill and is good and drunk! He not only will NEVER drink again, but will run away if you even act like you are going to open a bottle! SMART! Man gets drunk and he doesn't learn a thing!

I knew this one dog that loved ice cream. If you even moved towards the freezer he was all over you begging for some. But he also had had the alcohol "cure". So to be a little funny/cruel my friend would get a bowl of ice cream and a bottle of beer and the poor dog didn't know whether to come and beg or run and hide. Its as close to pure schizophrenia I've ever seen in a dog.

Sorry dogs are second class citizens and as such are not allowed to imbibe until they are 10 years 4 months and 20 days old in human years.

I'd say, about 3 years old.
What would they drink?

French poodle wine.
Boxer shorts.
Lab alcohol.
Pointers' punch.
Scottie whisky

And and a cure for the hangover:
Hair of the dog

Well I think in the eyes of the law his is something like a child and you as his legal guardian can give him consent to drink while in your presence but I'm not sure about the other dogs who will be attending.

giving a dog alcohol can be dangerous. A small amount of alcohol can poison a dog since their bodyweight is low compared to you unless they're a huge labrador or st. bernard, and even then its risky.

None. Alcohol kills dogs. But if you want it to drink, I suggest 75 in human years.

Ahaha! Well technically he is 21 and if he waited to be 21 in human years he would wait in vain. GET HIM WASTED!
