I am 18 and I got my first tattoo on December 29th, 2006....The tattoo is a white tiger and I was wondering if it is normal for the white to look really runny and streaky?

Hello. I just got a tat about 4 days before you did. Mine is almost done healing. It did look kind of odd as it was healing ex: the colors seem to be bright in some places and dull in others, but I can't say it ever looked runny. Are you using the right aftercare products? Maybe you are keeping it to moist. I think I would give the shop a call worst case it never hurts to ask and be on the safe side of things. Good luck to you, I think things will be just fine though, I think once the healing is over it will look just as you wanted it to. :)

Runny and streaky? That's probably not right.
However, don't judge it until its done healing.
A lot of my tattoos have involved shadings and colors that faded (intentionally) or progressed into how it should be, when it was completely healed.
If you're nervous just go to the shop and have your artist look at it. If they're not there, have a coworker examine it.
Whatevers happening probably won't be a big deal. Worst scenario...touch up.

Runny and streaky? I have never seen a tattoo that looked as you described it hun. I'm confused.....
I have a tattoo on my upper back behind my right shoulder. My tattoo never streaked or was runny.
Did you go to a reputable tattoo parlor?

I wouldn't think it should look runny. I have never seen a tattoo look like that before. Did you get it done by a professional? If so, I would go back to them, find out what they did!

Yes, it's normal for the tattoo to itch...the trick is to NOT give in and do it! Try rubbing some ointment on it to help relieve a little bit of the itching.

'I'm, not a professional when it comes to tattoos but i had the same problem with yellow, i waited 30 days and then had them shade it in again free of charge.... also get some tattoo goo from the artist, that will help alot...

by now it should be fully healed so thats what it's going to look like. you could go back in and have the white redone, but your tattooist should have told you that white doesn't usually show-up that well.

it shudn't look "runny" or "streaky"...even while it was getting done it shouldn't look like that...maybe you should post a picutre or pick better adjectives...I know it should peel...but...runny and streaky? maybe the flaking skin is piling up making it look like that, thats my only conclusion. I know my friend's tat started peeling but skin woul kinda collect a bit and make certain part of the tat look different colors, ((like more green in one area than the other) but once she cleaned it that buildup of skin was gone and it looked even colors...so i really dunno what to say...just get it checked out...

No...tattoos stay on and the worst that can happen is that the color fades...they aren't supposed to look like that.
