i want to compare how smart i am to other 8th graders to see if homeschooling is really what i should be doing. and i need a way to get a social life without going to any teen nights at the rec or going to clubs. im completly clueless.help me find a way to compare myself and get a social life. im at a very very VERY!!! hard stage in my life right now. i need some advice.

Schools are all over the place on what they have taught by when. You're not going to get the comparison you want.
The social life is tough at your age (very much based on what your parents allow/disallow). I was in public school but forbidden to even go to birthday parties of classmates so I always got left out. You've got some time to wait before you can really make such decisions for yourself (18th b-day).

have you talked to your parents about going to a public school? if not, you can always try meeting people at activities, and then you'll know people who have the same interests as you. If you love art, meet other kids at some drawing classes, or maybe a sports team or a church group or something. I hope things get better for you!

talk to your parents about this... i was homeschooled myself but i had church friends and my brothers and sisters too :) my brothers and sisters have no problems socializing and they have plenty of friends now. i, however, don't have many friends... i can understand how you feel--difficult indeed :D don't give up hope, k? whoever your "only friend" may be right now you need to communicate with him/her. and if you're Christian, pray and trust that God will give you someone/some friends in His own time :p

go to some church groups, if you go to church
and i would suggest going to a public high school. i know that high school isn't the most fun thing in the world, but i believe everybody needs some social skills before they get to college, adn you can't really get that when you're homeschooled.

get a myspace or IM be outgoing go to a sockhop or party meet one person tell them to help u ,meet more the possibilities are endless!
