I have a 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 and want to play my MP3 player through the radio. I have looked at some kits but they require that I disconnect the XM. I understand that the 2007 model comes with a MP3 jack. My question is does anyone know if the 2007 stock radio will fit in the 2006 model truck?

No, the main present day variety which will interchange with your mom's radio is from a 2002. In 2003 GM redesigned their dashboards and made their head instruments greater with a view to combine the two the cassette and cd participant into them. in addition they replaced the wiring harness, so which you will possibly choose to swap the sprint commencing and carry out a little confusing wiring to make it artwork. superb, maximum inexpensive and easiest element to do is purchase her a clean cd participant, you will get a hardship-unfastened sturdy high quality one at walmart, you'll want a splash setting up kit, cord harness and antenna adapter. you will possibly desire to have the skill to get each thing for style of $a hundred & that is extremely easy to place in.
