I'd say fish as well, but not just any fish. Get yourself some yellowfin Tuna. It will be red like beef and have a meaty flavor, but won't be as heavy as a steak on your stomach or your conscience! Salmon might be good for this as well.

If you really want to, start with chicken or fish. Not beef, and certainly not anything too fatty - it'll be a shock to your system.

If you do move to steaks, make sure you get nicely cooked steaks (if you're going to eat meat, might as well have it done properly and enjoy it) but start off small - again, your system isn't used to it.

But you can skip red meat and just stick with chicken and fish - probably better for you anyway.

Not much. I only eat an occasional burger at a fast food place, or at home (in which case, I usually make the patties with ground turkey). When eating in restaurants, I generally order chicken or or something made with it. My aunt in Sacramento area used to be a vegetarian. But last time I saw her, which was last summer, we had lunch out together and she order something made with meat. Enjoyed it, and puzzle me.

Beef- Fairly heavy meat. Wouldn't suggest it.
Chicken- Not as heavy as beef, but I still wouldn't suggest it.
Turkey- Not very heavy.
Pork- Very heavy. Highly not suggested.
Fish- Light, but usually high in Mercury.
Shellfish- Suggested. Things such as shrimp, crayfish, lobster, etc... Stick away from oysters, though.

I would start out with fish. it's lighter than any other meat, and you wouldn't have to worry about eating too much.

Why the change of heart? The reasons you became a vegetarian in the first place haven't changed any, unless it was an egocentric thing.

Start with hot dogs, two packs, don't even bother heating them.
