Are you telling me that you gave up on Jesus because of the way other people acted towards you? You may have said screw them, but you really just screwed yourself. People will let you down , there will act badly, so what. If you are following Christ instead of people you never would have left. I know how upsetting people can be but what you have done makes no sense for your eternal soul. You will have no company in hell read Psalm 88.

I am a christian and i know as christians we should not be judging anyone on anything. Being a christian is doing GOds work and not to look good for God but to do what God wants us to do. There are many people out there that make christianity seem so ugly and hateful and those people claim to be christians themselves. All i want to do as a christian is love our lord and follow him. I do not ever want to judge a person because of how they decide to live. I just want peace in my life and I would like to help bring peace to others if I could. God is a beautiful thing but so many people who are christians screw it up for the rest of the christians through being judgemental and mean.

Let me get this straight...You let the non-christ like actions of those that professed Christianity lead you away from the faith.

To that I say this....You were never a Christian in the first place because if you were you should have loved them enough to point them lovingly in the right direction or to lovingly show them the error of their ways.

I also say that if they are not showing the fruit of the spirit in their lives then their Chrisitianity is in question.

This should not have lead you away though,, there was something else that lead you away...namely your own skepticism.

I pray that you come back my friend. I love you enough to say that God will welcome you back like the prodical son was welcomed back into his fathers arms and a robe put back over him and sandals put on his feet.

God loves you and so do I.

Matt

You have a free will. It looks like you could not live up to Christian life either. That is why I need Jesus. I know that I would not make it to my Father's house without mercy and grace of God.

You can take your own path, but are you willing to accept where it is taking you in the end? I am not perfect, but I know who is...Jesus Christ. He is my Lord and Savior.

I am still hopeful that at some point in your life you will change your mind. IF you know the TRUTH and are able to read and understand HIS WORD then I hope you will eventually remember that those people are not your concern. IT is our job to get ourselves into heaven and to take as many friends with us as we are able. Following the True Path of the SAVIOR! Have a great week!

I can understand your frustration. I'm a Christian, but it definitely discourages me how hypocritic some Christians are. I guess all people can be, to a certain degree. Really the only difference between a Christian and a non-Christian is that a Christian is forgiven for his/her sins - if he/she is a true Christian. I may turn my back on hypocritic "Christians," but I never, ever want to turn my back on Christ. Once you deny Him, that's it. He'll deny you, too. I pray you'll reconsider instead of allowing others' hypocrisy discourage you.

I'm sorry things turned out badly for you. You're right: there are tons of people who are name-only-Christians, and it sucks. I would say, though, that please don't let go of your faith in Christ because of the stupidity of others. You sound like a very sincere person, trying to find the right way. Stick with it. Jesus knows you're trying. Just try to make it between you and Jesus only. No one else allowed. Don't abandon your faith because of the hypocrisy of others.

God bless.

Honey, when you take your eyes off of Jesus and put them on fallible people, we will ALWAYS let you down at one time or another. We are human, after all. Please, get back into fellowship with the ONLY one who can be of any true help to you and forget about the hypocrites! I would rather sit beside a hypocrite in church on Sunday every week, then allow one to drag me into a Christ-less eternity!

Saying you left Christianity because of what others do is a poor excuse. They'll have to answer for their deeds. There are hypocrites in every religion. But don't let that run you away from Christianty.

So, let me ask you this. You are willing to throw away eternal life, with the god of the universe, the one who made and loves you, because of some christians out there, that don't walk the walk? You do know, this is no excuse, right? As for time for company in hell, don't count on it. It is not about spending time hanging out with anyone.
