The opposite of a Christian would be a Satanist. He is the ultimate denier of Christ.

As far as religion goes, the opposite of a Christian would be a Satanist. And no, Satanists do not believe in your god, they are atheistic.

Good question, no good answer. We all know the opposite of black is white. What is the opposite of blue? What is the opposite of meatloaf?

Blue is one color in the rainbow; there are others. Meatloaf is one choice on the menu (at least in the diner I frequent, where they have a special for seniors who get in before six). There are others.

Christianity is a religion; there are others. I've known devout, hard-working, honest and gracious Christians. I've known people who were just as devout, hard-working, honest and gracious who were Jews, Sikhs, Muslims and Pagans. (I was in the Peace Corps and I lived in San Francisco.)

Athiests do oppose Christians. But to be specific, the opposite of a Christian is a Non-Christian. That is to say, anyone who does not believe in or who does not follow Christ. For those of you who fall into this category, my heart breaks for you.

of riddles ye do speake

that's a good question... the opposite of christianity

you would have to know the tennets and purposes

instead of being exclusive, I would say instead of saying only a few make it to Nirvana/ Paradise or heaven, I would say it's Buddhism with believing rather in the great nothing, and respecting all life, not finding reasons to destroy or inquire upon your deity to violently overtake your fellow humans

here is one person claiming to be a christian

My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded only by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison. To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before in the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice.... And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people.... When I go out in the morning and see these men standing in their queues and look into their pinched faces, then I believe I would be no Christian, but a very devil if I felt no pity for them, if I did not, as did our Lord two thousand years ago, turn against those by whom to-day this poor people is plundered and exploited.

-Adolf Hitler, in his speech in Munich on 12 April 1922

[Note, "brood of vipers" appears in Matt. 3:7 & 12:34. John 2:15 depicts Jesus driving out the money changers (adders) from the temple. The word "adders" also appears in Psalms 140:3]

I don't think there is an opposite of a Christian.

Satanists don't usually worship anything, hon. It simply means they follow his example and become their own Gods.
