When I asked about the meaning of this passage from the old testament this Christian told me that it was symbolic of Jesus love for us and thats what it was all about. HOW THE HELL can a deeply sexual and explicit poem containg clear sex, and oral sex, in her mothers bed room and in the orchard be symbolic of Jesus love? and if it IS hell I need a new religion!

In Judaism, it is also said to be a metaphor for the love of God for His people, Israel. There is no original sin in Judaism and sexual references are used quite frequently. Do you know the word "prude?"
