Oh god yes for years, always left sided from my upper buttock right to my feet. I have taken anti-inflammatory, muscle relaxers and pain meds for years. Even had to go to the ER a few times to break the pain cycle with a shot of Demerol. The pain can be excruciating. My neurologist, suggested a nerve block, but I have read the pros and cons of this and opt not to at this time. Mild stretching exorcises may help, squatting to pick something up instead of bending at the waist is suppose to help. I guess I am not being very encouraging, I have tried these, but it does not help. A daily does of B-12 has cut down on the frequency of episodes . The best thing I could suggest is to have a nerve conduction study to see why the pain is there. Is a compressed disc or damage to the mylean(spelling?) sheat to you muscles making your nerves more sensitive, as is my case, hence the B12. Also, you could have tarsal tunnel, which is like carpal tunnel but in the ankle. The pain could be going up your leg instead of radiating from the back down. Discuss these options with a doctor and have testing done to determine the exact cause.

Acupuncture really works . Theragesic rub works wonders too.

Sleeping with 4 pillows to support my back and between your legs. Stretching slowly right on the floor. Skip the chiropractor . What they do to manipulate those joints in your back and neck is a real joke . They do have some good machines thou.
