Is there a home remedy to take out a Wave Neuveau curl perm? I think I spelled it incorrectly. My perm has been in almost 2 years and now I want to remove it. I dont care for the vinegar method, it dries my hair out too much.

I think anything you use would dry your hair out. I think the healthiest way for your hair would be for you to grow it out. I know this takes time but having more chemicals will weaken your hair which could cause breakage. Even if you have it chemically straightened in a salon could cause problems. You sould always use straighteners with a heat protection spray. Always use plenty of conditioner too which helps rehydrate dry hair. Regular trims will also help. Hope this helps :-)

There is no good home remedy for switching from a Wave Nouveau or a curl to a perm, but if it has been almost two years since your last application you have some hope.

The only problem now is the fact that your hair might've suffered some damage since there was a lapse in time from your last application till now, but let's just say you took exceptional care of you hair; then you are fine.

I still would recommend that you visit a professional stylist who could handle your situation better, but you do need to cut out some of the old perm for fear it could break-off no matter how long you waited for your new application.

you could invest in a pair of ghd's (they are so worth the money) and just let the perm grow out. You could always use straightening products as these will protect your hair from heat damage and keep the frizz at bay. I'd recommend l'oreal hot straight, it's a heat activated straightening cream, and shockwaves hair serum.

you should use a hydrating shampoo and conditioner, and use a hair mask once a week.

Get your hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks

Get another perm and and gently comb while processing.. Make sure you do not stretch the hair too much when combing or it will damage and frizz. Then apply a deep conditioning treatment and wrap up your hair in a towel let it sit a few and rinse out... Conditioner seems to relax curls.....

That perm is outdated. That used to be within the 90's. No i did not like they ultimate results looked on my pals and they had theirs achieved by way of a respectable. Ultra-modern perm is Revlon realistic, Motions, Dr. Miracles.

the only way i know of to get rid of a perm without cutting is to have it chemically straightened in a salon.it'll cost around 30-50 pounds but it'll work!my friend had it done and her hair is stunning.

You can have the straightening treatment in the salon. It might cost a little bit, but it is the only effective way of knowing it's going to work.

You can't remove a perm unless you have your hair cut.
