on my legs there are the big green veins and some little purplish red veins...ones spider the other is vericose..on one part or my leg(middel shin area) my veins itch like crazy! i am in my 20s and hope it aint a clot...does anyone have the same thing and/or know what it could be?

i don't think it is your veins that itch, but rather your skin. and in itching it it shows those veins darker. put some soothing creme on it, like aloe. or a good lotion. have a good one :)

I blood test for vericose veins O_o.... vericose and spider veins can itch some times. Since the blood from the veins isn t returning to the heart as it should pressure can build and accumulation of lactic acid and carbon dioxide can occur. This can be a problem and you should see a doctor for possible treatment of the vericose veins but it is not life threatning.

For some reason, the skin over vericose or spider veins may sometimes itch. The itching doesn't mean anything is wrong, but it can be annoying. See links for more info:

To improve your veins eat more green vegetables and go to your local vitamin supplier and get the herb horse chestnut. Also eat more sun flower seeds (1/4th of a cup per day) as they contain vitamin E which is also helpful.
