he obviously had a crush on you but was too shy to really tell you. He must think your the most beautiful person he's ever seen.
If he was a shy person, then if he told you that you were the most beautiful person he's ever seen, then he means it. Someone who is more of a player might tell you that just to give you a line, but if it's someone like this kid seems like, then he's had a crush on you for a long time and he really means what he's said.

Well it could mean he is honestly attractive to you, or he is trying to get into your pants, and he could honestly want a friend. But don't just jump to a quick conclusion, take it slow and in the end you will find out where you and him truly stand.
