My parents 20lb dog was given Darvocet accidentally. My dad thought the pill on the table was his vitamin, but it was not. Anything I should watch for with the dog? I tried to call animal poison control but they want a credit card and I don't have money for that unfortunately. Help!

call your vet to see what they say but i would give the dog plenty of milk to counter act the darvocet until i could get it to a vets office by the way the milk might make the dog wormy but you can always worm the dog in a few days from now if you cant reach your vet call any vet you can reach if you have to leave a message with a # where they can call you back

Call the vet! Most areas have an emergency vet for night calls. Check the phone book.

You can also try giving him a table spoon of hydrogen peroxide and it will make him throw up. Also, make him drink water and call the vet!!!

HELLO!!!!! take your dog to the vet. they will need to pump his stomache or he could die. i have been in that situation and your dog needs to get to the vet asap. whether you have the money or not. his life is on the line. if you don't take him he will most likely die.

get him a blanket, put him in front of the tv, turn on MTV and get him a bag of chips.
