If you have split ends, before deciding which shampoo to use (I'd recomend VO5) I'd get a hair cut. Not a big one, but the only way to get rid of split ends is getting rid of them and soon. The longer you go without cutting those little buggers off the bigger they get (because the split keeps splitting up higher until you have weak, frizzy, oddly colored hair at the ends up several inches!)
The trim should help the frizz and split ends immediately. After that to keep split ends from coming back so quickly avoid blow-drying your hair (and if you must, don't dry it all the way) and avoid coloring, bleaching, highlighting, or perming for a while)
after you've gotten everything all under control, regularly use a conditioner after shampooing and occasionaly (if you have very problematic hair) try a leave in or spray in conditioner on occasion (don't use these too often, your hair will end up looking greesey and dull)

for your split ends you need to go get a trim-as for the shampoo, none of those are going to do you any good. Grocery store shampoo's have such harsh sulfates in them that dry out your hair, and the conditioner has super waxy ingredients that just leave a coat of film on your hair to give the illusion of softness. some good sham/cond. are Tigi S-factor smoothing, and Redken's smooth down..biolage also has a smoothing sham/cond. Just go to your local salon and ask them what they would recommend cuz they can see your hair. Even a supercuts-they have some pretty decent sale racks. while it may not be THE best place, they did go to beauty school and are licensed to sell you those products

None. You should get a hair cut. No shampoo is going to fix it.
