Maybe I should date some older guys and test the waters so to speak. My parents are having a tough time with this but I told them to try it---they would like it.

You will want to stay in your age range. The older you get, the faster you'll grow up... And trust me it's not as great as it seems. Keep what innocence you have left by staying around those your age. You'll grow with them. Older people will want more out of you and maybe more then you want to give or are willing to.
My brother is gay, so I understand where you are coming from because he's confided in me.

There are a whole set of problems with dating someone a lot older than you. You're probably a very nice guy and all that, but be aware that there are those out there who will regard you as nothing more than fresh meat.
Dating guys around your age is probably the wisest thing for the moment.

Well I mean if you are mature enough to handle it ,then yes. But at this point in time from your last sentence I don't think your ready. I have a lot of gay friends so I know. I mean you should really get it straight with your family. For the simple fact your going to need that support that only they can give.
