well....don't be a sheep. People eat sheep. You can be part of clique and not lose your friends, but still be your own person. Like everything in life, it's all about balance and goals. Make some short term goals for the coming semester - like paying better attention in class, and maybe really making a point to meet 2 or three new people a month. Your long term goals would obviously have to do w/ how you want to finish High School academically/extracurricularly and what you are going to do after graduation. What do you need to do to accomplish these goals? Make more short term goals toward attaining your dreams. And then remember...the friends you have in high school will eventually go their own way...and it is highly unlikely many will be a permanent part of your life -but you have to live w/ you forever. Good luck - and go get 'em! ;)

I can help with the paying attention maybe. When I was in class I found myself constantly drifting off or doodling rather than paying attention in class. I found that if I brought a coin or a stone or a small object to play with in my fingers.

As for making friends JUST BE YOURSELF! And know that if you really have to try that hard to make friends, they really aren't worth it.

Good luck with next semester!
