It depends on the dog. With a mixed breed, it is a hit and miss. When you mix breed dogs, you really aren't going to know what will happen with the puppies until the puppies are born and their personalities start developing.

Maltipoos are very loving, sweet, gentle, and very smart, I have a 6 month old maltipoo, and he's the best dog I could ever imagine having, also the first dog I have ever owned. They do require alot of grooming, they love to play, and need lots of chew toys when they are little, I think if your give lots of love and patience to your new pup, any dog would have a great temperament.

I don't think that there is any way to tell with a mixed breed dog. With a pure bred you could check a standards book and at least have something to go on.
