Well, a tamming produce will always help and if you put moose in it while damp and then scrunch it a little it will give you a nice tammed look and if you straighten it at a salon it will be straight but it is expensive

omg i know EXACTLY how you feel. i have the same exact hair as you, thick and curly, except mine is blonde but w/e. just like you i keep mine in a bun basically everyday at school, but theres really nothing else to do with it. i have to admit that most products do absolutely do nothing or very little to help. but i suggest splurging on a good straightening iron that works well, it helps a ton and helps make your hair manageable and less thick. but unfortunatly the straightening only lasts a few days and you cant do very often cause it will damage your hair, especially hair like ours. i suggest going to the salon and having them thin out your hair and straighten it. you can also ask them about the best products that would be good for your hair for frizz control and for curl definition creams and such. the thinning out your hair helps sooooooo much because once the thickness is more controlled, your hair wont look as poofy-ish and more curly. but if you do anythingggg i highly recommend straightening it. a good straightener works wonders on your hair, its amazing, i bet you'd be very happy with the result, as was I lol. i hope this helps, good luck. =]]

ok if you straighten it at a salon it would help alot but you'll eventually have to keep going back becuz sometimes the humidity of the cold air can make your hair get a little bit thicker. so the best thing i think you should do is go get a flat iron at sally's beauty supply(thats what i did) and you can straighten it whenever you want so you wont have to keep going back to the salon.

Since i have thick curly hair to i think you should use frizz control shampoos and not use too much damage !! and you should be happy with your hair because trust me there are alot of people who dreaaaaaaaaaaaaam of our hair and if u want to straighten it in the salon that's fine but don't do it like everyday cuz then you woulllllllllllld have lottts and lotts of split ends

omg, girl! we have the same hair! and i keep it in a bun, too alot. i suggest you get a good straightener. i splurged on mine and it was $120. but it takes probably 1/2 hr. to straighten and i get 3 days out of it. (dry hair)

japanese straightening also works WONDERS. but that costs about $200, more or less. but if u struggle with insecurities from yur curly hair...that's for you.

If you straighten it will be straight. If thats what you want. I've had curly hair all my life. I use to iron it. But once the cold air hits BAM frizzies curly worms all over my head.. get it styled they can do alot with curly hair . Thats what i did i look great. Or try and iron it .

Just take your chances!
Everyday try a new thing and see which one you like!
And a salon do-over would be good.

Plus, your hair isn't that bad.

hmm...you could either straighten it, or get it curly again...and if you wanted, you could also thin out your hair...to make it a little bit less puffy...it all depends, really, on each person, because if you straightened it, it could get all staticy or it could turn out perfect...i doubt it would get staticy but, the least you could do is try...you'll never know...

you might wanna get a hair cut first off...that makes it a lot more manageable

...you don't even have to straighten you hair...just use mousse
i personally LOVE curly hair
