how do i know to get the right color and right brand HELP !!!!

dont listen to that first response! drug store colors are higher in ammonia which are damaging to your hair. before you do something you may regret, go and see a stylist. most hairstylists will offer free consultations. i would reccoment a semi permanent color for your first time (it washes out in 8-10 shampoos.)

check out the colors they have,, usually u should get a ligter color than u want and it will come out a little darker. and i recommend loreal their colors uually turn out the best and last longest
But if i were u i would dye it at home. salons use a whole bunch of chemicals in there colors that totally deplete hair folicals. u can get any color u want at walmart and its alot healthier

If this is the first time, get it done professionally. If you're happy with the color and later need to re-color your roots, then you could probably do it yourself.

No go to the salon I am telling I dyed my hair and it started to get thin whatever you do go to the salon cause they know best trust me.
