My friends and I are going to Kuala Lumpur this February and we decided to go to Bangkok before KL. Upon arrival at KLIA LCCT where do we go? Is it better to take a bus or taxi or is there a train going to Bangkok? How much would it cost us?

If you are in KL, it will be best to take a flight with Air Asia to Bangkok. There is attractive pricing if you do it early and you get there in about an hour plus, in comfort of a plane. And also less hustle on arrival. Cost wise, is very affordable, the earlier you do so.

So if you are really going, book your ticket fast!

I assume that you are visiting Bangkok for a few days prior to going to KL, if it is so then as soon as you arrive Bangkok, there'll be regular air-cond bus from Suvanabhum airport to the city (that's the cheapest way, cost ~ 3 - 4 usd.) or taking metered taxi from airport, it would cost you ~ 300 bht ~ 7 - 8 usd (cheaper if you travel more than 1).

The train link between Bkk airport and citry is underconstruction and not available at the moment.

From Bkk to KL, you can fly low cst airline, Air Asia at the cost ~40-50 usd depending on how early you book online or you can fly Thai or MAS at the higher cost but full services. Upon arrival at Kl, I recommend you to take the train to the city (30 min @ 35 Rm or 10 USD/trip and continue with city taxi to your ultimate destination (should be no more than 2 usd to your hotel), it's faster than taking bus or taxi as the airport is ~ 60 km from the city and may take up to 1 hour by car.

Enjoy your visit to Thailand and Malaysia.
