It makes me sad to hear that your 10 day old puppies are covered in fleas. How could they get like that? My puppies are almost 5 weeks old and have never had 1 flea on them and that is because their mother doesn't have fleas. You need to treat the mother for fleas and treat your whole house. Then call the vet and see what they recommend for the puppies. I would not sell or give away the puppies until they are flea free.

You need to call your veterinarian and discuss the best course of action. It is NOT safe to use flea products on puppies that young. The flea products actually could potentially kill the puppies due- which is why the labels give an age.

Until you talk to your vet, use a flea comb to comb the puppies out every day. Ask your veterinarian what would be safest to use on the mother. Then, you need to vaccuum every inch of your house, through the bag away outside, wash all the bedding the dogs use and keep combing those puppies. I know it is tedious, but at this point that really is the only way to stay ahead of the game.

I would call your vet and ask him to make sure but i dont bath my pups untill they are at least 6 weeks old cause, the flea shampoo will kill them at that age, and plus a pup can not heat them selves up by shivering they dont have that reflex untill they are 2 weeks old, so i would suggest that you wait till they are 6 weeks old, but like i said just call your vet and see what they say, I hope this has helped and good luck with your puppies take lots of pictures of them cause they wont stay small for long they grow very fast

I didn't bathe my puppies until they were running around and playing with each other. They were about 4 1/2 weeks old when they got their first baths.

Goodluck!

we bathe our 1 yr old boston terrier but most dogs who haven't seen water before are scared of it so use about 1 inch and a half and wash them slowly and talk to them nicley, if they get TOO scared take them out wrap them in a towel and carry them around like a baby, this might sound crazy but dogs have feeings too!

hope it helps
