Thre are three common types of medications used in dandruff shampoos. From most effective to least effective: coal tar solution (Denorex), selenium sulfide (Selsun Blue), and pyrithione zinc (Head & Shoulders). Denorex is not intended for regular use.

My Grandma told me to soak my hair before shower by white vinegar and water,, then after 15 minutes wash it,, and it really worked,, but what a yuckie smell..

Selsun Blue works but keeping my hair shorter helped more.

Head and Shoulders really works... I don't think there are really any other ways...
