me and Laura harve decided that when we get married we would like to have our wedding on the beach, I love the idea, thing is we dont want it to be religous at all if we can get away with it, its just how we feel so I am wondering if we have to have a preist or someone religous deliver our volws or what other options we would have...eg a JP or someone like that....options and opinions please...

You can have any one preside over your wedding who is ordained too. You can go to your local court house, and get information. It's a bit pricey if you have them go to a location, but it's worth if if you have your mind set on a non-denominational ceremony for your wedding. You can also look in your local phone book for people who do those kinds of services. Congrads, and Good Luck!!

you can use a marriage celebrant, look in the yellowpages

JPs are not empowered to perform marriages and most ministers or priests expect you to believe in god and attend the church for them to marry you. It would be unlikely that a minister would marry you on a beach if he didn't know you before hand, they perform marriage ceremonies for the money but as an act of faith.
the cheapest option is to be married in the registry of birth deaths and marriages in the capital of your state

Preachers/priests are usually willing to hold the wedding ceremony almost anyplace. I saw an article about a couple who got married underwater. As your preacher/priest about it.

Just find a celebrant to do it, we had one and she said what ever we wanted, nothing too religious. Have a wonderful wedding day.
