I'm female and I like to have fun. Where should I visit and what should I do. Are Americans generally nice towards Aussies?

You are going to LOVE the USA.

Your accent will endear yourself towards almost everyone... we really love to hear that stuff. There is so much to do and so much to see, I dont know where to even start.

I think most people here are generally nice to everybody, but I haven't been in other parts of the States. I know most people in the south will be nice to you, but I guess there is nice and not so nice wherever you go, so don't judge us all by some rude people you might meet. You can visit some of the zoos, because you will probably see some animals you don't know much about, like kangaroos, wallabes, etc. Or if you like old music, we have some singers like Olivia Newton John and Bee Gees. They are singers that were pretty popular here at one time. Of course, you know I am joking, matey! Come on over! You will be welcome.

I suggest you visit either New York, San Francisco, or Miami. I have personally been to all these cities and New York is the most impressing but San Francisco and Miami are the most fun. Yes, Americans tolerate pretty much anyone that's European.

We ADORE Aussies!

People will find any excuse to persuade you to talk, just to hear your wonderful accent. On the other hand, we will also ask you dumb questions about kangaroos and Steve Irwin.

As for fun, it depends on how you define it.

Best bar & restaurant hopping: San Antonio, Texas, the River Walk.

Best intellectual vacation: Washingtn, D.C., the Mall (Smithsonian Institution; Museum of Art History; the National Cathedral).

Best skiing: Colorado. Any place.

Best deep-sea fishing: Gulf of Mexico, out of Ft. Walton Beach (write me, I'll tell you who to ask for).

Best shopping: N.Y., N.Y.

Most silly people per sqaure mile: California.

Wow, an Australian girl, we generally like Australians. We see you as like the English, but more fun at parties.
If you want fun, try Las Vegas or New York City.

1. Depends on the time you go. If you plan on going around this time, stay away from the northern U.S. and stick to places more southern in location like Hawaii or California where you won't have to be bundled up and risk catching a cold. New York, so far, has been lucky with the snow, but usually around this time they can find themselves getting dumps of it.
Of course, if you like skiing and the like (or have a desire to learn), perhaps it will be okay to go to the northern ones. We in Colorado still have lots.

2. Yes. Many people in America like the female Australian accent so expect to hear a lot of "I love your accent!" when going out to eat or... basically, speaking at all.
