I'm looking for information on where to buy Cinnamon French salad dressing. Or a recipe for it would be great, too!

I had this dressing at Bill Johnson's Big Apple Restaurant in Arizona. It is SOOOOooooo good! I wrote to them asking about the dressing, but I never received a reply.

Does anyone know anything about Cinnamon French dressing? How to make it, where to buy it, etc? I've searched all over online and have come up empty.

Thanks so much for any help!

you're in a pickle here as most dressings use one of those ingredients . . . Try a French 1/4 cup white wine vinegar 1/4 cup ketchup 1 tablespoon sour cream 1 teaspoon dry mustard 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon sugar 1/2 lemon, juiced 1/2 teaspoon paprika 1/3 cup vegetable oil Salt and freshly ground black pepper (obviously omit the pepper) That's about the only dressing I know that will fit the bill. Good luck

Unfortunately, Bill Johnson s has fallen on tough times (Changing Economy and the younger family owner/operators not wanting to be in the business) and has been reduced to its original Van Buren location which has been sold and leased back for 2 years. They will be closing their doors after that.

The dressing is made in each restaurant and though I ve been going there for 40+ of their 60+ years I have never been successful in obtaining the recipe.(Bill s security is right up there with KFC and the original Coke Recipies) I ve been told it has Mayo, Orange Juice, Cinnamon, Ketchup, and White Pepper

When BJ'sBA went under, they shared their recipes with the press! Enjoy!

Gene's Cinnamon French Dressing

2 cups mayonnaise
1 ounce lemon juice
1/4 ounce vinegar
2 ounces orange juice
1/4 cup ketchup
4 ounces sugar
1 large pinch cinnamon
1 pinch salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1/8 tsp. garlic
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp. hot mustard
1 pinch paprika

YIELDS A QUART: Combine all wet ingredients into one container, combine all dry ingredients into another container - mix well. Slowly add dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix well until blended. Empty into holding container and refrigerate.

You might try calling the restaurant and ask who their supplier is or this may sound stupid, but why don't you try putting a cinnamon stick in your bottle of french dressing. I know it won't be the same, but maybe you'll like it...
