Forget online translate if you want to properly translate a text. They translate words to words, the order of the words won't be respected and they won't give you the exact meaning for an expression.

Example : raining cats and dogs. As you know it means heavy rain. In French you would translate it : pleuvoir des cordes ( raining ropes ) , pleuvoir comme une vache qui pisse ( raining like a peeing cow )
but I got this from online translators :
- http://world.altavista.com : pleuvoir des chats et des chiens literal translation, means nothing in French
- http://translate.google.com : the same sentence as above.
- http://www.freetranslation.com : pleuvoir les chats et traque ( raining cats and traque ( traque meaning to follow somebody like cops do so here out of sens )

For an exact translation, prefer a friend who can speak French or as here. But don't ask for full pages, some sentences are better.
