ying is a chinese word meaning the dark side and yang means light and sunshine. to me, ying-yang means the dark side and the bright side

It actually means a pair of opposites so for example, the sink and the oven would be ying-yang.

It's actually yin-yang. Chinese idea of a universal and eternal duality. Yin is the female energy and yang is the male energy. One can not exist without the other. Yin energy is passive, yang energy is active. We need a balance of these energies in us to function in a balanced way. The common symbol of yin-yang resembles two intertwined teardrop shapes enclosed in a circle.

It is the Taoist symbol. The dark part is women, evil, and coolness. The light part is man, light, heat, and such. The dots show they are connected.
