I'd smack my daughter upside the head and say what you think you are a pig. Controll yourself, there is a time and place for everything and right here is not the time or the place.

Her farting smelling like a rotten pig has to do with her diet. They are certain foods that give people gas which will explain why some people do it more than others. Also you might to consider the possiblity that she suffers from constipation. Farting smelly is sometimes a good sign that you need to use the bathroom. If she doesn't feel the need to maybe you should seek medical assistance. A good nutrionist rather than just a regular doctor would be your best bet. One of the things she may or may not need that nobody might tell you is about purging or colon cleansing. I'm not asking you to let a health professional stick something up your daughters butt, they are tablets that can do the trick. Its essential that everybody cleanse, its just at least every six months on estimate, of course not much of us do and this some more than others.

How old is she? If she's under 12 and you feel that it's gratifying
for her, you need to set some standards. She needs to know
that although this is a normal human function its not to be taken
for granted. It's rude, especially for a female to carry herself in
this fashion. Everyone laughs at this, but ask a guy if he would
marry a women who farts out loud in public and I would bet you
wouldn't find any sensible guy to say yes. On the other hand
if this is uncontrollable you may need to take her to see a
gastroenterologist . Her diet can be adjusted by eliminating
certain gas producing foods like bean, cauliflower, brocolli etc.
Certain medications can cause excess gas production and
bloating. The most common problem is chronic constipation
you might want to give her a bottle of citrate of Magnesium and
a clear liquid diet for 24 hours to see if her flatulence improves.

LOL! I never thought of chronic farting as being a masculine trait, like growing a beard or hogging the remote control. I learn something new every day!
Seriously, assuming you aren't a troll and your daughter is in danger of exploding if she holds her gas in, maybe it's worth looking into a diet change. Assuming she's not continuously loading up on beans and cabbage, maybe she has a food sensitivity of some kind.
If that doesn't work out, you can always look into getting her charcoal underpants. (see link below)

Farting is a gross habit, and if she can't help it, maybe you can get her pills or medication of some kind. I don't think it's masculine at all. Everyone does it. Sometimes women do it more than men. But maybe she'll grow out of it, and realize that it's just a disgusting thing to do.

Nothings wrong with farts. In fact everybody farts. I guess just teach your daughter the manners where to fart. Also very bad smelling fart is a result of irregular bowel, teach her to pooh everyday.

Allow? If her body is producing gas, how do you propose to prevent her from expelling it?
If you're really concerned about it, try looking at her diet and seeing what she's eating that's giving her excess gas. Chronic flatulence usually is a sign of food intolerance. Figuring out what she's eating that's causing her to fart should help reduce the problem.

I think you should teach your daughter that she can excuse herself by going to the restroom when she needs to expel gas.
This is an etiquette forum, thus I assume that your query is more etiquette related vs. medical.
It's not proper etiquette to simply expel wherever/whenever. Stopping the gas is not natural and nearly impossible.
She needs educating, as many here may as well, on the proper way to deal with this type of thing.
I'm imagining some of these responses working when they're sitting with a million dollar client, or any client for that matter, in a business meeting; just two of you and you decide it's okay to simply sit there and gas away or worse during an intimate dinner with a new date - because, afterall it's "natural".
Give me a break!
I know 6 year olds that know enough to excuse themselves to go somewhere private to FART.
Masculinity has nothing to do with this either. ;-)

I would be more concerned about the possibilities
of your child having a colon, rectal infection then the farting That odor could be a sign of a problem. Get her to a doctor.

seems to me should concern yourself about why she is farting and not about the smell !!!! excess wind can be symptomatic of a very bad diet and various intestinal disorders some of which can prove fatal eg bowel cancer...i dont mean to scare you but farting can be an early indication of something more serious regardless of age...check it out !!!

Well the farting should be kept in control in public. But in your own home, ahh just have a farting contest, loudest, smelliest, etc. Could be fun, and you may lose LOL.
But Out in public, walk close beside her, fart, and blame her outloud say ewwww (say her name) thats gross. Just to embarrass her. LOL.
