I believe they know when your sick or sad or if something is just different. They have a sense for things like that some how.

Both of my dogs are totally able to pick up when someone is not feeling well. My young Lab becomes a completelt different dog. He gets quiet, very tender and well not leave my side. My other dog I adopted after his owner, my brother past away. My brother was dying from a terminal cancer and his dog, a Pit Bull never left his side in 3 very difficult year. The week before my brother died his dog would go under his bed shake and cry the entire week. My brother died in the hospital and I was home when he past. I did not need the call, because at the moment he died his dog began howling like crazy. He cried for about an hour and then went to my brother's old room and stayed there for days. They are very in tuned to you and the smells your body gives off.

I don't know if they really understand that you are sick, but they can tell from your behavior and such that something is different. My one bichon always was able to tell when I was sick or upset, she would stay close to me and keep watching me. Now, my boy bichon he never seemed to have a clue. (He always was the one who thought the world revolved around him- and I loved him so much for it!!!!
There has been documentation of dogs knowing when their owner was about to have epileptic seizures or when something major was wrong. I think that it is instinctive and being in close "tune" with their owners.

My GSD replaced into additionally extremly calm and somewhat. 2 weeks in the past I cracked a enamel and have been given a sever an infection, as quickly as returned the Yorkie replaced into extra worrying, tried to lick the swollen side of my face. My mothers and dads have additionally been having some wellness issues, mothers athritest replaced into appearing up and dad had a allergic reaction to his extreme blood tension pills, The Yorkie and the GSD have been the two very calm and mushy and tried to stay on the factor of the two certainly one of them. So confident some canines do comprehend while we are ill or harm, yet no longer all canines seem to care, my pals canine did no longer care yet then she wasn't my canine i think of there desires to be a bond, for canines to act this sort.

There are dogs who can tell when their mistress or masters are going to have seizures. Then there are dogs who can detect certain types of cancer, saw that one on Sixty Minutes a few years ago.
My cat found a fibroid in my breast and tried to knead it away. It became like a long string, the radiologist was fascinated when I told him.

I think so, whenever I'm depressed and really sad my dog comes up to me and lays her head down on my leg. Normally she's so hyper and jumping around 24/7.
When I'm sick she lays at my side and sleeps with me all day/night. So I think they can.

Yes, my beagle who has no training on the subject tells me when I am on the verge of having a seizure, she knows way before I even start feeling the signs, I have come to trust her and to listen to her when she lets me know that something is about to go wrong, she has never had a false alarm and has never missed the signs

Some can. Some dogs can even tell a person is going to have a seizure BEFORE they have it. Pretty amazing.
