Check out the bedding set from Kohl's at the link below. One is called Ocean Reef. It has both of your favorite colors, plus brown and yellow. That leaves you a lot of options for your other bedroom accessories (rugs, lamps, picture frames, etc.)
That one is a little themey but, of course, you don't have to go all the way with a theme (ie. Just leave the palm trees on the comforter and let them spawn no further.) ~LOL~
The other set that I thought of right away, when I read your question, is called Apt. 9 Espresso. It is definitely sophisticated with the combination of brown and light blue. I'm not sure if a true red would work as an accent color though, a couple pops of burnt orange would probably go better.
Finally, I see a lot of nice bedding sets in geometric or floral patterns with cool shades of blue. That leaves you room for adding red as an accent color. Add some things in black (picture frames) to up the sophistication.
Good luck and have lots of fun!

What about a combination of your two favorite colors together (red plus blue = violet). Most adults aren't fond of this color, but as a young woman, you may enjoy the bridge between the warm and cool colors of the rainbow. You could accent you color pallette (maybe a blue violet on your walls) with bright orange accents and a hint of yellow. These colors would not only compliment any room but would add a sophisticated touch without being overly girly.

attempt vacationing the library or bookstores(my well-known) to benefit the abode adorning books and magazines to get ideals. Or attempt interpreting the essential colorings on your needed or present day furniture and adorning accents alongside with lamps, pictures, vases, bookshelves, and mattress covers. optimistically you will come across a colour which will circulate with all those products. If nonetheless caught, circulate to Sherwin Williams, abode Depot or Lowes or any paint broking that has quite a few paint pattern enjoying cards, and take each and all the paint pattern enjoying cards that seize your fancy. Take turns taping them on your wall and notice the form you like those colorings in the process the day and night. as quickly as you narrowed down the strategies, circulate decrease back and notice in case you may get those pattern paints in the two or 3 ouncesjars and paint a pattern board (white poster board or white cardboard field from food market) to work out a bigger pattern that could be useful you're making an exceedingly final determination. desire this helps....

For a sophisticated look why not go with aqua blue, cream, and brown. It would be very pretty and you could live with it a long time. Get a couple posters to bring in some color, too. Check out www.allposters.com. You can search for things you like easily.

Find a particular piece that you like and go from there. Even a neutral room can have spark with the right accessories. I'm guessing you aren't going to be able to buy all new, so working with what you have is going to be essential. Find some of your favorite pieces and go with it. Your bedspread, a favorite painting, etc.

I suggest periwinkle, which is a mildly violet shade of blue. It is rather old-fashioned, so it may be considered sophisticated.
Mauve is another old-fashioned color, though it might be too close to pink for you.
Both colors would look nice with a contrasting sage or a light violet.

Is your furniture dark?...then go with red walls for a Mediterranean look. If your furniture is light, then go for a coastal feeling with blue walls, and pale green accents...very classy

A neutral color... then use red and blue colors for bedding, pillows, etc... it's better for the long run.
