No reputable veterinarian would give medical advice without seeing the animal first hand - so don't count any real veterinary opinions on this message board.

But yes, it sounds like your cat is in heat. Why isn't she spayed? A cat in heat is miserable to live with, and they have an uncanny knack for getting pregnant, even if you don't think she had a chance.

Please DO NOT take the advice of the poster above, (who said to mate her)! Not only does the world not need any more cats, but allowing her to have kittens as an 8 month old is dangerous to her health. The heat will pass, then get her spayed.

Sounds very much like she is in heat. Is her meow different from her normal meow? You may also want to check her over for any sores or any swolen muscles, but it doesnt sound like she is hurt, just in heat. But to ease your mind, you may want to call your vet just so you can be safe.

Have her spayed and this will not be a problem in the future. PLEASE dont breed her first - there's already lots of kitties out there that need homes. Call your vet and he can talk with you more about this.

If she is not spayed then that is a sign of going into heat. It is a really annoying thing to go through with your cat. A LOT of noise! Get her spayed as soon as possible!!!

I would definately say she is in heat...my Mom's cat used to make a horrible racket when she was in heat! The best bet is to mate or (if you want kittens) or get her spayed. Good luck!

She could possible be seeing a mouse. Our cat acts that way all the time. His eyes get huge and he starts running around the house like a maniac.

Your cat is in heat and she will keep doing this until she mates. You did not get her spayed so she is looking for a male to mate with. You have to find some male cat that is not neutered so she can mate with him and have kittens then have her spayed!
