When Jesus said "Before Abraham was born I AM". He was referring to the highest name of God(YHWH) that religious people of the time refused to speak because they considered it too holy.
In the early church one of the first testimonies of the follower of Christ was "Jesus is Lord". The word "Lord" here is Kurios in the Greek which is used to translate the Hebrew word YHWH.
So, Jesus claimed to be God and the early Christians claimed that he was God. Without this divinity perfection would have been impossible and the "perfect sacrifice" for our sins would not be.
You might ask what sets Jesus apart from all the other religious leaders. Consider this: When people speak of asking Jesus to forgive their sins they relate to feeling a weight taken off of them, no other religion has those kind of testimonies that I know of. Also, there have been miracles done in the name of Jesus, from the dead being raised, blind eyes opened, lame walk, cancer healed, etc...
By the way not everyone is God's child, only those who believe in Christ and obey his teachings, but we all are created in the image of God.

Because He really is who He claimed to be God. And we are not all God's children. We are all part of God's creation but the children of God are those who have put their faith in Jesus as both their LORD and Savior. When we do that, we become born again or born of God. (John 1:12). This may sound theoretical to some but I can testify it really is true!! Jesus is real and everything He said is true!!

Jesus is special because He is God. He created the whole world, He came to this world in human form to save mankind from hell. He died on the cross bearing all the sins and sicknesses of the world. He rose again and is seated in the Heavenlies and makes intercession on your behalf to the Father. He will return to earth again to rule the world. What more can I say? Have you done any of these things? Plus He never sinned.

Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of God, born of a virgin, conceived of the Holy Spirit. (No sin nature)

Everyone else born into this world has seen the True Light that lights the world. (But have sin nature)

But because of inherited sin nature, all have sinned and fell short of Gods Glory.

So, at the age of accountability we rebel / disobey God purposely. That causes spiritual death. Jesus said we must be born again to see the Kingdom of God. This is spiritual rebirth. This is being born of God, being a born again Christian. Part of the family of God, joint heirs with Jesus.

Jesus is his only son. The blessed people are his congragation of human children. Angels are also reffered to as sons of God, but, Jesus, as being first created and showing alot more interest in love and mankind, gained favor in his father's eyes.

Genesis:
6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

We are all adopted as children of God, but we all have an earthly father. Jesus on the other hand had no earthly father, God was his physical father. That is why he is divine, and not just special

The term we are all God's children is a PC term.Jesus shed His blood on the cross to pay for all sins by all sinners. All people have to accept Jesus on there on freewill or they will suffer hell for their sins (rejecting Jesus and His payment for sin).No where in the bible does God call all people Iis children.Only those who follow Him.

God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are all one. That's what Christianity teaches. It's hard for me to think like that though.

Because Jesus, is the son of God and he died for our sins. He came to earth to show us love and the word of God. We are also Gods children because we were created by God.
